Required Documents for Admission in New York University

Based on your educational background and the course you apply for, you will need to provide the following information:

Score reports (see standardized testing requirements).
A selection or list for unique creative curriculum candidates to the Steinhardt Institute of Music, Education and Human Development and the Tisch School of Arts. Training is voluntary for entrants to these services and a proper hearing or portfolio may be sent instead of standardized tests:
Steinhardt demands an application or portfolio for all applicants to the Music Department, with the exception of the Academic Theatre, and a portfolio for applicants in Studio Art.
Tisch needs an audition or portfolio for applicants to all departments with the exception of Interactive Media Arts.
For programs that require a hearing or portfolio, we strongly recommend that you apply your request one month in advance to ensure that you have ample time to prepare your hearing or portfolio.
Checking the English language if you have not completed at least 3 years of study in which English is the only language of instruction at the time of delivery of your request and English is not your native language.
Certified records of all college work for which you have earned academic credit.
Mid-year Common Application Document with the revised text. This is supposed to show your first-semester senior year results. Have your therapist apply the document by 1 March through the Common Application.

Admission Eligibility Criteria of New York University

SAT Scores you need to get in:

New York University typically requires candidates to be in the upper 8 percent of SAT exam winners. The school consistently takes SAT composite scores down to 1,350 on a scale of 1,600 below which entry should be deemed an accomplishment. We estimate that some students could be accepted with the SAT as low as 1260. The estimated average SAT score for a student enrolled is 1440 out of 1600. School ranks #10 in New York with the highest average SAT composite score. 59% of students send SAT scores to the class.

ACT Scores needed to get accepted:

Admission data indicates that NYU routinely admits applicants of ACTs of 29 and above. Successful applicants typically send ACT scores to the top 9 percent nationwide. In some instances, we measure school approval for minimum ACT composite scores to be around 27. Prospective students who send a combined ACT of 31 or more should be in the upper half of the applicants-and those with 33 or more should have very good opportunities. College ranks #7 in New York with the highest average ACT composite score. 47 percent of students apply ACT results to the University of New York.
