Essay 1.  Post-MBA Career Goals:  Define your short-term post-MBA career goals. How are your professional strengths, past experience, and personal attributes aligned with these goals? (300 word limit)

Post-graduate career goal

Working in a professional sitting, I happened to have observed quite a lot of changes in the world of businesses. I believe that dealing with the uncertainty is the actual business of the business. Once a business is able to handle and manage the uncertainties, it is understood that they have a great academic and technological understanding of the field as a whole. When there is continuous learning, an individual is far more expected to deliver further ahead of its time and skills. Hence, one should keep learning with a passion to know things, build networks, diversify as much as possible, unlearn and readiness to relearn things.

The boost to one’s career and personality that an MBA provides is one of the main reasons people decide to pursue one. Employers who are looking for people with keen business acumen and leadership potential to fuel future growth find MBA students to be a highly attractive proposition. By gaining international exposure and developing my skills through my experience and the academic input from the top-tier institute, I am willing to put myself in a position where I can be one of the most important forces shaping the corporate world of the future.

I wish to be a part of the fortune 200 companies where I can help solve the bigger problems on large contracts and tenders for bigger organizations and governmental bodies is something I look forward to. I have no doubt that being associated with the institute will significantly increase my ability to achieve my goals.

Eventually, my post MBA goals are to leverage my studies and be a key to change the different organizations and societies in a bigger picture and diversify as much as possible.

Qualities of leader

I had the opportunity to participate in a few interviews while I was actively considering the job offers that were out there, which most likely seemed to be more beneficial for me in terms of building my self-esteem and recognising my professional potential than landing my ideal job with a high salary and quick promotion opportunities. I realised that the more job opportunities I got, the more I got inclined towards managerial and leadership roles. My role as an Assistant Manager at the Techno Marketing  was to coordinate with clients and work with a broker and other channels. It also Involved budget planning, establishing coordination with the internal Team, delivering training to the internal and client team as and when required. I also led the teams on tenders and bids and established new business relations.

Later in my job, being appointed as the Manager in the Banca Cooperative and NBFC Channel, paved the path for me to enhance those leadership and managerial skills that I picked up on as the assistant manager. I was given the responsibility of budget achievement for the team and managing new business tie-ups. I also managed business development from existing tie-ups and establishing coordination with top notches of the banks and channel partners. being the manager, I was responsible for government schemes and programs and working towards maintenance and rolling out MIS down the line and advising the team in backlogs, for handling day-to-day issues in the channel and leading the procurement of micro & rural business and maintaining the desired ratio of micro & rural business in the business mix.

These job profiles enhanced my leadership skills and intrigued me more to explore the same in future.

Essay 3. Why Goizueta?:  What are you looking to gain from the Goizueta MBA program and how do you see  yourself contributing to the Goizueta community?  (200 word limit)

I strongly believe that community plays a pivotal role in the growth of a wide diaspora of individuals – directly or indirectly. As diversity brings right flavour and compositing in any group since diverse gatherings always encourage room for innovation and creativity, especially with the blend of diverse backgrounds make the team competent enough to pursue their goals effectively.

Coming from the highly cultural background of India, family values and staying together as a society has taught me a lot about teamwork and helping each other in need. Even at my previous jobs, working as a team helped enhance my personality development in more than one. I am confident enough that I can certainly add value to the group to best of my abilities, knowledge, and skillset, this not only allows the group to understand various domains but also allow them to effectively boost their confidence to further next level.

Since, I love to network with people on and from any topic onward, I believe that no matter what, as an individual, I have something or the other to contribute to the society with my understanding of the domain that I aspire to take, or throwing challenges to my mates to ensure that they are also keeping well in this competitive environment as much as possible.
